Section 106 agreements are designed to help make sure new developments enhance local communities, and to reduce the impact of developments on local areas.
They help to create better quality environments in, and around, new developments, which can range from improving roads and building new community facilities, to creating open spaces and improving local schools.
Around £195,000 has been made available to spend in the Burntwood area and we now have a list of projects that have been submitted by local organisations from previous consultation. To help decide what projects the money will be spent on, we need your feedback.

To refurbish the existing car park and redesign the current layout to provide a safer environment and more aesthetically pleasing entrance to the park. The current car park is just hardcore and is prone to flooding and pot holes which can cause damage to visiting vehicles. Our plan is to design and build a new full size synthetic turf pitch that will be used during school hours by students and at all other times by the local community (including school holidays and weekends. Objective: To deliver environmental Improvements at a number of sites across Burntwood town centre. Sports Association The success and rapid expansion of Childrens Sport Activities since the formation of the B.R.F.C Sports Association in 2002 has brought with them organisational problems for our Volunteer Team Organisers on Training Nights & Match Days. Proposed by Burntwood Chase Heritage Group (BCHG) To erect a life-size bronze statute of a pit-pony & miner to celebrate the areas mining heritage.
