To develop both Visual and performing Arts Spaces in the town of Burntwood for Lichfield District, showcasing the artistic abilities of the whole community. The core of this development will feature a permanent exhibit from The Wedgwood Museum, which is refreshed at least three times per annum.
The Arts Space will be run by students to the highest exhibition standards it will be the students responsibility to co-ordinate this process with support and training from Wedgwood and other organisations.
It is anticipated that at least 5 exhibitions of varying length that feature the work of local artists will be showcased each year. This development will break new ground in the way that galleries/museums operate and it is likely that the Burntwood Arts Space will receive national and international press coverage.
This visual arts facility will be complemented by a Performing Arts and Conference facility, remodelled for community use.

i personally thnik this idea is awful , i have yet to meet anybody (from the general population of burntwood) who have any interest in this whatsoever .
i mean is there even a designated site for this unwanted arts space, who will cover the running costs? and last but not least arts is not for all but only for a minority.
A fantastic opportunity for Burntwood and what a wonderful facility for the students at cttc to become involved with.
The arts space sound a great idea. I hope you are successful
This is a wonderful opportunity for the students and the community. I fully support this initiative.
Burtnwood art space is a great opportunit for the town. I have know of it for a while. Alongside SCAMP mining statue these stand as the most fitting ways to help improve the town for everyone , looking at the past and the future. The art space will be a great addition to Burntwood and be a part, like SCAMP of much wider initiavtives in the district.
This is a fantastic proposal which would undoubtdly be of great value to both students and the wider community. I support it wholeheartedly
This is an excellent partnership between a school and a museum in Staffordshire which will be of great benefit to both partners and the young people of Burntwood.
A great idea. Students will learn valuable organisation and management skills in having the responsibilty to run this and the local community will gain a much needed creative space.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the students and I am happy to support it any way I can.
This would be a wonderful facility for the community of Burntwood and those from outside the area to enjoy – as a resident I give my full support to this project.
What a great project. I fully support this initiative.
What a fantastic opportunity for students to develop the skills required to stage exhibitions and for the local and wider community to showcase its talented artists. I fully support this initiative.
Yes we think this is a good idea too and give it our support.
Apart from the obvious need for a space of this kind in order to provide an exhibition space for local artists, having visited it on several occasions, I have no doubt that the pupils and staff of this outstanding school are capable of succeeding with this exciting and ground-breaking project.
All at the Wedgwood Museum are incredibly excited about this innovative and groundbreaking project which will add so much to the learning careers of all at Chase Terrace.
This sounds like an amazing opportunity for everyone, particularly the students who will be trusted to co-ordinate such an important and exciting project. I’m all for it!
This is a great idea, its about time Burntwood had something to shout about, this really could be it, hope it goes through.
I think this is an excellent proposal and will provide a creative outlet for both students and the wider community. In addition it will provide great experience of organizing and managing exhibitions for the students i
Such a space would be a welcome addition for us here in Burntwood. Immediate access to practioners and their work would also boost opportunities for learning for local students and open the discussion for more creativity in the local community.
This is a fantastic Idea and really needs to go forewards, as this would be the only dedicated arts space in the burntwood/lichfield area, also a great oppertunity for students interested in the arts as well as local artists and recent graduates.
I would happily get involed in this project
This will be a fantastic opportunity for Burntwood. The Burntwood Open Art exhibition demonstrates that there is a need for such a space in Burntwood. There was over 500 visitors in just 1 week to the BOAE last year. I really want this to happen.
