Chase Terrace Park was originally owned by Burntwood Town Council and transferred to the District Council in 1994. Originally used for the tennis and bowls users of the park, but now mainly used by the Chase Terrace Bowling Club and Hazelwood Bowls members and visiting teams members.
The building requires a complete renovation of the roof due to the past works carried out on it and a degree of anti-social behaviour
It is proposed to completely re-roof the structure of the building but to extend the roof to include the two flat roofed areas either side of the main pavilion. Other works to be carried out under this project will be both decorating and renovation of the electrical facilities and finally the possibility of creating a workshop store for external organisations.
The target population would be initially, the local community crown green bowlers and supporters, there is a possibility of further community use and finally the site could be developed as a horticultural training centre for dis-advantaged groups. The funds would be required to enable the works to be carried out in on operational phase.
