The amount of funding requested compared to the cost of the project would appear reasonable – given the facilities it wil provide for the Community.

The additional changing rooms and disabled lift access are essential works to enable continued development of this family & community orientated club. The club is welcoming and offers healthy lifestyle additions to our young people.

This club is designed to provide the best facilities to young people with an interest in a variety of sports. The club also supports the wider community through the use of its clubroom. The provisionof a lift for the diabled will further enhance this facility. The club has always supported the local community inany way needed, including hosting the Burntwood Wakes for the last 5 years

The proposals are essential for the continual development of this community club. The extra changing rooms would match pitch usage and allow matches of all junior sides to take place together rather tha stagger K.O times. As a club with a year Governing body year 2 seal of approval, our development as a GB centre of excellance would be impeded by a lack of changing facilities to develop our aim of including girls rugby. The addition of a lift would help the fail and infirm access the facilities available for the 3rd age community of our club.

Our club has been steadily expanding over the last few years, and we really need the extra changing rooms and toilet to relive the pressure on a Sunday morning. The extra facilities will also enable us to expand our Junior section (currently helping to keep in excess of 130 boys occupied) to be able to accept girls teams. The upstairs function room is a popular place for social events and would be greatly improved by having a toilet upstairs.

This is an essential improvement to the facilities for both female and disabled user groups. The club has established itself as a great asset to the local community especially with junior sports team.

With the increase in numbers attending junior rugby and junior football on Sunday mornings, there is a need for additional changing rooms to ensure that the juniors are not put at risk by adults changing in the same area.

The additional changing rooms and disabled lift access are essential works to enable continued development of the club and the activities it provides for the community. The club is extremely welcoming and offers healthy lifestyle additions to our youngsters.

I support this funding as they are meeting mostof the project costs themselves. The club is a vital part of the community and improvements will benefit disabled and female groups.

Proposed by Burntwood R.F. Sports Association

The success and rapid expansion of Childrens Sport Activities since the formation of the B.R.F.C Sports Association in 2002 has brought with them organisational problems for our Volunteer Team Organisers on Training Nights Match Days.

The existing 4 changing rooms (2 home and 2 away) will be supplemented by the 2 new separate changing rooms, built to Sport England specification.  These will allow better use of our playing fields; and also provide the necessary privacy for girls/ladies changing and showering.  We already have Burntwood Phoenix F.C (3 teams) affiliated to the Association; and we intend to introduce Girls Rugby once the correct changing facilities are in place.

We are a community facility open 7 days per week, daytime and evenings.  The disabled lift and upstairs disabled toilet amenities will serve the popular upstairs community function and meeting room.
