Our plan is to continue to refurbish our Theatre by updating the audio visual systems in this facility.
Currently the Theatre offers tiered seating, a stage area with lighting, stage curtains, a drop down screen, a sound system, ICT/broadband access and a control room.
Three years ago we updated the theatre flooring and seating and we now want to continue with this refurbishment project. This new refurbishment will improve our current provision by updating audio visual facilities to meet varied community needs.
Most users require modern flexible ICT, projection and sound systems and we aim to provide such facilities. The Theatre is available by all ages, sexes and ethnic groups. It can used for both formal events and informal use.
It is available virtually every evening after 5pm and during the weekend. It is easily accessible to all (including disabled access) with extensive parking facilities.

By improving the audio and visual equipment at the the school I can improve the students’ opportunity to learn the art of set and lighting design. The antiquity of the present resources is at present having a negative effect on their learning. The annual school production would also benefit from new equipment boost the involvement of staff and students.
This is a fantastic idea and will really benefit the local community and school. The benefit to the local area in terms of engaging with youngsters and bringing the whole community together will truly benefit the area and add to the quality of life for all.
The funding for this much needed theatre refurbishment would benefit not just the school but the community too.
what a fanatastic oppurtunity for the council to support a local school, all to often the peripheral areas of lichfield get missed out. The money given would be an investment in our childrens future and also our local communities future. The school can continue to produce the excellent performances that they always have done.
This funding is much needed to complete this refurbishment and bring the facility up to date. Would be nice to see the theatre used by outside groups for dance classes etc.
I agree totally with this refurbishment. My elder daughter already attends the school and with my younger daughter attending from September who is very keen on drama and music it will be a great addition. Also if it can be used by other members of the community then all the better. A good project for requesting funding for.

Another valuable community resource. My daughters have had their annual productions of their dance school held here – let’s just make sure that small local groups can still afford to hire it out both before and after improvements are made.
the funding is essential to allow completion of a project started some time ago. Both students of the college and the local community will benefit.
The new seating and flooring done a couple of years ago was a great addition. It’s important to continue the enhancement programme using new and modern technology. Everyone in the community can benefit from this.
Anyone who has attended a production by the pupils of CSSC wll realise how dedicated the staff & pupils are and improvements to the audio visual equipment can only enhance their hard work.My daughter has dance lessons and her dance school hires the theatre for their annual show so the wider community would benefit too
I regularly attend school performances and enjoy watching the many talented youngsters the school develops. This additional equipment could only enhance the performances and may enhance the skills and knowledge of talented children who wish to make the arts a career and will have a new knowledge of up to date equipment and how to use it.
This would be a worthwhile long term investment to enhance the facilities not just for the pupils but also for the wider benefit of the community. School facilities such as gyms should be accessible for all to use after hours. They are an underused resource and this proposal would give value for money and a safe haven for constructive use of leisure time.
The school put on some wonderful shows and musical experiences for the pupils. The teachers involved are dedicated and the fantastic jazz band are often out in the community entertaining the wider public. Improved facilities would be welcomed and put to worthwhile use.
This project would be extremely worthwile. I have two children who attend Chasetown and both play instruments. The music department work extremely hard and produce some excellent productions. To add to the facilities currently available would help enormously.
The facility is terribly outdated as it stands and needs to be updated for a school which will help a large number of children and the community as a whole
i have attended many performances int he college theatre, all have been of exceptionally high standards due to the hard work and dedication of the staff and pupils. these improvements rae well deserved by all the young people who contribute to the many performances and the allocation of funds would no doubt confirm the appreciation of their hard work by the many people who enjoy the shows.
This refurbishment is needed and would make a massive difference to the experience of both the students and the audience.
