With the rising tide of obesity, and lack of exercise being identified as a causative factor, an additional all weather facility such as a new astro turf pitch at the school will encourage people to exercise in all weathers.
Also as a parent of a child who regularly partcipates in sporting activities at the achool and as the Lifestyle service manager for South Staffordshire PCT I cannot overemphasise the need to establish good lifestyle habits at a young age which continue into adulthood.

My son plays cricket for St. matthews and the all weather surface would help him develop his game. Also clearing the long grass areas and improving the off road parking,would benefit both the club and the local community.

The elderly in the Burntwood area always seem to be forgotten when various projects are proposed. It’s good that our older citizens are given a chance to be involved in the Community and be offered a valuable service to assist with making their lives easier.

yes i agree with monkeys mom this is probably the only project that would actually improve an area for the whole community.
with a better town centre burntwood would attract the better shops that we so desparatley need (like a decent clothes shop), and maybe yes tesco could offer some of the money as they have a vested interest in that area. i think that having 2 neighbouring supermarkets will be good for our wallets as morrisons has had a monopoly for to long.

i personally thnik this idea is awful , i have yet to meet anybody (from the general population of burntwood) who have any interest in this whatsoever .
i mean is there even a designated site for this unwanted arts space,who will cover the running costs? and last but not least arts is not for all but only for a minority.

This type of resource will be an excellent addition to the area to help the community to access more sporting facilities.
