Each of the projects on the left have been put forward by local groups applying for a share of the £190,000 Section 106 funds to support local projects in Lichfield.

Nether Stowe school would like to develop the gym so that local Sports Clubs can use it.  To do so it needs to remove the wooden wall bars, the ceiling beams, and re-sand the floor and provide adequate storage.  The school is hoping to receive a grant from Sports England under their Inspired Facilities programme which would see the refurbishment of the changing rooms and create a reception area.  The work on the gym would further enhance the facilities that the local community and clubs would [...]


Lichfield Talking Community Services wishes to purchase a 15 seat mini bus to transport vulnerable persons, mostly within Lichfield area. The project aims to make the popular junior play area of Beacon Park even better.  The development of the play area was a component of the HLF project.  The initial design delivered an improved play facility which incorporated popular existing play equipment, the provision of new equipment and landscaping constructed using natural materials which together provided a range of play opportunities.  The equipment has been linked by paths for accessibility and seating has been provided for parents [...]

Darwin House is on a 25 year (renewable) lease from the Chapter of Lichfield Cathedral and this work is due under the terms of the lease.  These include exterior decoration and repairs. Pathway Project Lichfield refuge is a safe haven for women and children fleeing domestic and sexual abuse.  It provides practical and emotional support until the family are ready to be integrated back into society and re-housed.  The refuge has 14 rooms including a specially modified disabled room we can house up to 14 women and in excess of 25 children at any one time.  Most of the current furniture has been in use for seven years now and is in need of replacement.  This would include 14 si [...]
